How it works

Foundation repair is a big decision. Here's how the referral works and what to check before you sign anything.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us your town and what you're noticing: a horizontal crack, a wall leaning in, a floor that's lifted, doors that stick, water at a crack, or an inspection report that flagged the foundation.

  2. We pass it to a local company

Your call or request goes to an independent foundation repair contractor that works in Cheyenne and Laramie County.

  3. The company takes it from there

They schedule the visit, quote and do the work. Prices, warranties and terms come from them.

What we are and aren't

Cheyenne Foundation Pros is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send workers, set prices or do repairs. Using the site is free for homeowners.

What to check before hiring

  • City license. The City of Cheyenne licenses contractors, and company licenses are issued only with an Individual Qualified Supervisor license. Ask for both if your house is in the city.
  • Permits. Ask who pulls any permit: the City of Cheyenne Building Division inside city limits, or Laramie County Planning and Development outside it.
  • Liability coverage. Ask for a certificate of insurance before work starts.
  • A written plan. Where each anchor, brace or pier goes, why, and what it's installed to.
  • Records. A pier log or anchor layout at the end of the job.
  • The warranty. What's covered, for how long, and whether it transfers to a buyer.

For a large or disputed repair, an independent engineer's evaluation is worth considering. You can verify a Wyoming engineer through the Wyoming Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors.
